Is it possible to rent apartments for a month or two at a time?

Also, could I move in with someone looking for a roommate for just a month or two? Or are they looking for someone why can stay longer?
Or do you have to have a lease for a longer period of time?

Typically they are looking for people staying for a longer time due to all the work needs to be done before and after you move in.

You can try craigslist to see if anyone is looking for a roommate for a month or two, this might happen near college campuses when school is out of session or a roommate goes on a study abroad.

Other options are long term hotels like a Residence Inn.

  1. It is hard to find anything for less than a 6 month lease, and those are rare.

There are corporate rentals that go for very short periods, but they are usually furnished and cost more.

If all you need is a month or two, check out an extended stay hotel. They can be cost effective, and you get clean towels.
