My gf and I are planning to move into an apartment together our senior year of college, and for the sake of our parents, we are looking for a one bedroom apartment that has a lease for two people. After looking around, we can only find one bedroom apartments with a one person signing lease. Are there one bedroom apartments with a double signing lease to all?
Yes, we do two people on a lease for a one bedroom all the time. It does make things easier in terms of dealing with security deposits and other issues though if it’s just one person on the lease.

Of course. Most places don’t care as long as you can pay the rent.

Yes, you can both be on the lease and most places will or should accept this. They would actually probably prefer it as anyone living in the place, not just visiting, should be on the lease.

That’s really weird— normally, property managers prefer to get all the adults living in the unit to sign the lease, because that way there’s more people they can potentially go after later if it things go bad. Also, this establishes whom exactly is allowed to reside there.
I can’t see any reason why they wouldn’t let two people sign the lease. There’s no downside for the property management. Are you sure you’re making yourself understood to the places you’ve contacted? This shouldnt be any problem.

There is only allowed 2 people per bedroom and yes ALL adults living there NEED to sign the lease and anyone under 18 is just put on the lease as living there
