If i live in a studio apartment rent under 400$ by myself then how much would my groceries be every month?

Posted by admin on March 1st, 2010 and filed under apartment for rent | 2 Comments »

I currently get 870.00 dollars a month and currently looking for a part time job and if i had a studio apartment with me living alone so basically how much would my groceries and bills cost a month if i keep on a budget.

It depends on how much you eat and what you buy. What about utilities or a phone? Be sure you allow yourself enough money to live on and go places and buy those things you want and need. Good luck. . .And remember prices are going up and going up fast.

What does an average one or two bedroom apartment rent for in Los Angeles?

Posted by admin on February 28th, 2010 and filed under apartment for rent | 4 Comments »

I am wanting to move to L.A.. And I’m wondering what a one or two bedroom apartment rents for. I’m also wanting to know are there any really rough, slum neighborhoods that one must avoid, if possible?

Look on a map of Los Angeles. Mark an area that has the 5 and 10 and 405 and 105 freeway as the boundary. Stay OUT of the area you have marked on the map.

One bedroom apts. are about $1000 per month. Try to move to an area close to where you will work. Traffic is terrible. at rush hour.

Should i pay my apartment rent with cashier check or money order?

Posted by admin on February 26th, 2010 and filed under apartment for rent | 1 Comment »

I will be moving into an apartment for college and my first payment is due in 2 days. Should I pay with cashier check or money order? Personal check is not an option because I don’t have a check book.
1 second ago – 4 days left to answer.

A money order would be cheaper. However depending on the $ amount you may have to get a Cashier check. As long as you know who to make the cashier check out to you are good to go

In Britain, how much would an average apartment rent for?

Posted by admin on February 24th, 2010 and filed under apartment for rent | 4 Comments »

I’m planning to move there during college at Oxford. I’ll need a job and a place and want to know how much and average rent is. And what about minimum wage?

In Oxford a one-bedroomed flat would probably cost you £750 – £1,000 a month, sorry but it’s really expensive. You’d be best off looking to share a house with other students which will still set you back the best part of £400 – £500 a month I’m afraid.

As for minimum wage, assuming you are over 18 at the moment it’s £5.05 an hour and will rise to £5.35 an hour in October. So it won’ t pay the rent on a flat of your own after taking off tax and National Insurance and it certainly won’t pay for gas, electricity, water, council tax and food as well.

How much can apartment rent be increased in California?

Posted by admin on February 21st, 2010 and filed under apartment for rent | 1 Comment »

If I understand correctly, rent can be increased up to 10% with a 30-day notice, and 10% or more with a 60-day notice. This is for an area without rent control.

We’re on a 1 year lease with monthly rent of $1500. About 35 days before the end of the lease, our landlord gives us a notice about our renewal options:
    $1550 if we sign a 6 or 12-month lease.
    $1875 if we choose a month-to-month agreement.

We were really planning to go on a month-to-month agreement, but the increase from $1500 to $1875 is really huge. Does this violate the 60-day notice requirement? Considering that the rent for a 6 or 12 month lease didn’t go up by more than 10%, the landlord has given 30-day notice of the rental increase. However, for the $1875 rent, he hasn’t given 60-day notice. What do you think?

You’re correct, he has to give you 60 days notice for more than 10%. So if you go month to month, he can charge you $149 more for the first month and then increase it till he meets his target. At the same time he can give you a 30 days notice to vacate if you become a pain.
