If I don’t have a lot of money, and income range is 30,000-38,000 per year. Want apartment that’s not too far away from downtown Oakland, and preferrably near some college/university.

What’s ok price to pay for the studio or 1 bed apartment ?

I can only suggest craigslist.

I live on the border of chinatown and have to move soon. I walk through deep parts of it a lot and it seems the places there would be comparatively really cheap. However, I never see any listed in english language classifieds. I feel like I have to break in to a secret world of real estate bliss. My friend speaks mandarin, maybe that would help.

Yeah, your friend could help you .. but if you are familiar with the area look around for vacancies and ask around to the people that live there and maybe that will help..

I am trying to get out of my screwed up section 8 apartment complex and into a set rent apartment for me and my 9 month old. I live in Noblesville Indiana and want to try to find a cheap apartment with a set rent somewhere. I have about 300 saved up right now but get paid again in two weeks about 250. Can anyone recommend somewhere that I can move that is cheap and in noblesville. I dont want to move out of this city cause of my job! THANKS

My boyfriend and I want to move into an apartment in the Harrisburg, PA area but need to know if there are any nice ones people know about? Are there any good jobs nearby? What’s the area like?

Yes, all housing in Central PA is low-cost. Not sure what you would consider nice, but I would suggest the West Shore. Pay in the area is not so great, but stay in your field. Meantime though, the general area is just GREAT! The Harrisburg-Carlisle area was named last week as the thrid best area in the whole USA to live. Go for it!
