    I understand the frustration with English/Japanese. However, on the flip side of the coin, some gaijin who speak Japanese will throw a sh*t fit if a Japanese person speaks English to them. Seriously, I knew one dude who flipped out because a worker at McDonalds spoke to him in English (when he ordered in Japanese) He got so angry that he filed a complaint with the manager. Said that he just wanted to be treated like everyone else.

    I don’t know how many times I’ve tried to do something in Japanese,struggle,the ordeal ends up lasting an hour.Then at the end someone who was in the room the entire time starts speaking english,sometimes fluent. I think they just like with us. I understand the whole its japan we speak japanese thing…but when the conversation isn’t going anywhere and someone there speaks english, why don’t they do anything? It would make it easier for us and for pretty much all the workers there too.

    Yo man, I know all about it! Been here 7 years. My rent is 110,000yen (Tokyo), so I paid 550,000yen before I moved in (with my wife). But I got my Normal Bed, sofa, dinning table etc… like a family home back in the UK. But most important..my XBOX 360 yeah!
    I used to live in Saitama city tho!
    Once your married to a Japanese woman tho, you get treated much different. Im thinking about buying a place next year (stuck in Japan maaan).
