How much is a cheap apartment in Oakland, CA area?

If I don’t have a lot of money, and income range is 30,000-38,000 per year. Want apartment that’s not too far away from downtown Oakland, and preferrably near some college/university.

What’s ok price to pay for the studio or 1 bed apartment ?

I can only suggest craigslist.

As for the price…Anything less than 1000 is good enough to take.
