  4. The Voltage from …
    The Voltage from the panel has nothing to do with the direction of current flow (ie. from the battery back to the panel).
    The controller reduces the voltage to protect the battery.
    A diode in the controller prevents the flow of current from the battery back to the panel when it is dark, and the panel is not producing.

  5. Vehicle batteries …
    Vehicle batteries are made to stay close to full capacity, where SLA batteries can be discharged further without damage because they have thicker lead plates.
    There is no such concept as “quick or slow release of current”

  6. Its not the voltage …
    Its not the voltage that kills you its the amp. For example. How many people get tazed with 50,000 volts and dont die but it only takes .01 Milli amps to kill a person. Also the voltage has to go through your heart so I like this guy hes got the best Solar video on here.

    Chrischris349 is absolutely right. 12 volts can’t push enough amps through you to even feel it let alone get killed by it. If it were true I’d be dead 500 times over. Put your meter on the proper range so you won’t burn up the meter and the leads.

    do not use a car battery. they are are made for quick discharge. deep cycle are made for slow release. like for a golf cart or trolling motor for a boat

    Why do you exaggerate so much about the dangers of a deep cycle battery, though they can put out enormous amperage, at that voltage you aren’t going to become a hot dog. Or for that matter shocked in any way.
